Payment Options
We are a secure site, but know some of you may
have concerns about transacting via the Internet; therefore we offer several methods of
payment options - all of which ensure absolute security. By offering our customers a
choice of ordering processes our goal is to ensure that you are comfortable doing business
with us on the Internet.
You can pay on-line by credit/charge card. WeatherShop accepts Visa, MasterCard, American
Express and Discover, personal or company check (must clear first, 2 weeks typical) or
money order. WeatherShop's on-line transaction system is built using encrypted email
-which is used for creating a secure transaction environment for commerce on the Internet.
If your browser and local network support the use of encrypted data transmissions, our
secure order emailer locks all information (i.e.: your credit card number) passed from you
to WeatherShop in an encrypted envelope, making it extremely difficult to be intercepted
by an unauthorized party.
You can place your order on-line and choose either the phone or fax option if you do not
feel comfortable putting your credit card number on-line.
If you choose to PHONE in your credit card the Order Hotline can be reached at

Customer Service Order Department. You must include your name as it appears on the card,
order number, telephone number, credit card number and the card's expiration date.

Shipping/Delivery
It's free on all orders over $500 (of course there
are a few restrictions detailed below) delivered within the 48 contiguous United
States! This is another way we add value to every purchase you make at WeatherShop.
International orders are subject to additional shipping and duty fees. See the
International Shipments section below for details.

SHIPPING ON ALL ORDERS OVER $300, delivered within the 48 contiguous United
States. Delivery by FedEx Ground. Please allow 5 to 7 business days for
delivery of in stock items. We make every effort to keep most items in stock. If not in our
warehouse the product will be shipped via FedEx Ground as soon as
possible. If you would like upgraded FedEx Express, 3 Day, 2 Day, or
OVERNIGHT shipping please request on order form "customer
message." A shipping quote will be emailed to you for your approval.
Most of our merchandise is shipped via FedEx Ground. Faster service is
available for a surcharge. Please allow one business day for order processing and at least
2 business days for shipment of in-stock items; additional delivery time may be necessary
for custom or special orders or items out of stock. To give
you the largest selection and fastest delivery possible, WeatherShop merchandise may be
shipped to you directly from the manufacturer. In which case the
manufacturer has the right to select the shipping carrier.
Since the US Postal Service
rates are zone and dimensional dependent, some items might ship FedEx
Ground when US Mail is selected. Shipping charges will remain the same as
selected on your order.
Some of our products are heavy or oversized, and for these items, a shipping surcharge
will be added to your subtotal. There is also an additional charge of $15 for delivery to
Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico.
Our free shipping offer DOES NOT extend to shipments outside the US. For these and other

International
Shipping
If you are shipping merchandise overseas, or to
Canada or Mexico, you are in luck! Many of our items are available for international
delivery and the minimum order for delivery is $100.00 US. International orders will
be shipped via Federal Express International. Shipping
method is determined by merchandise to be shipped. When possible, customer's preference
will be taken into consideration. You are responsible for any additional duty, tax and VAT
charges. Transit time will vary with destination. Please note
International shipments are ineligible for return under any circumstances.

California
Sales Tax
WeatherShop is required to collect sales tax on
shipments to California addresses. Hey, we're only following the rules! California
sales tax of 7.25% will be collected on the merchandise subtotal. This amount will be
added to your merchandise total and reflected on your credit card charge.

Returns
We will accept merchandise for return within 30
days. After 30 days, all returns which comply with our standard return requirements will
receive store credit only. There are very important things you must do should you decide
to return merchandise to WeatherShop. Please read carefully and take the time to ensure
that you have followed the instructions to avoid any delay in processing your return or
exchange. Please note the particulars of the Electronics Return Policy.
Damaged Goods
Our Shipping Team makes every effort to prevent
shipping damage, however on rare occasions, stuff happens. So, for your protection, please
do not sign for merchandise until you inspect for damage, and keep the original shipping
carton. If there appears to be shipping damage, you need to do the following:
- Save all contents!
- Contact our WeatherShop shipping department at shipping@weathershop.com
or 530-899-8434
- Do NOT return the merchandise yourself as this may delay your reorder or credit.
- As always, please feel free to e-mail us or call 530-899-8434 with any further
questions.
One very important note: Vendor and manufacturer policies for handling defective
merchandise supercede WeatherShop policy.

Merchandise
is not what you expected?
All merchandise for return requires a Return
Authorization code from WeatherShop and must be returned prepaid in the original packaging
in resale condition. You must return the package whereby a signature is required upon
receipt. E-mail info@WeatherShop.com for a
Return Authorization Code, which must be clearly displayed on each returned box. Please
keep in mind, shipping and handling charges are not refundable.
In some cases there may be a restocking fee on certain items.
WeatherShop is not responsible for shipping charges on returns. It is recommended that you
insure the package, and ship requiring a signature upon receipt. Additionally, we strongly
suggest that you follow-up with our customer service department 2-3 weeks after returns
are shipped to ensure that your package has been received. If the merchandise is
not returned in the original packaging and in resale condition, we will not accept the
goods and they will be returned to you without issuing any credit. Please allow
two billing cycles for the credit to appear on your credit card statement.

Exchanging
a gift
Just what was Aunt Gertie thinking when she picked
out the fuzzy bunny slippers? If you are the recipient of a gift purchased from
WeatherShop, and you choose to return it, we will be happy to issue you a store credit for
the purchase price of the merchandise only. E-mail info@WeatherShop.com
for a Return Authorization Code, which must be clearly displayed on each returned box.
Please keep in mind, shipping and handling charges are your responsibility. Important: If
the merchandise is not returned in the original packaging and in resale condition, we will
not accept the goods and they will be returned to you without issuing any credit.

Electronics
and Software Returns
WeatherShop offers an excellent selection of high
quality weather products at great prices. Throughout the Web, sales in this merchandise
category are subject to a higher incidence of fraud. Therefore, in order to ensure that we
can offer our customers the best values in electronics, WeatherShop has created a stricter
policy for electronics returns. If the merchandise is not returned in the original
packaging and in resale condition, we will not accept the goods and they will be returned
to you without issuing any credit.
Software, downloads, and special order items are
not returnable under any circumstances.
Electronics products must be returned in their original packaging materials and must
include all manuals, accessories and parts. Serial numbers on all units must match serial
numbers on packaging. Electronics returns not meeting these requirements will be subject
to a restocking fee, as follows:

Repairs and service
WeatherShop does not do repairs, but we can
provide replacement parts and technical support to enable you to do the replacements
yourself. For example, replacement sensors for your weather station, new anemometer cups
or wind vane, replacement parts for a rain gauge. We can provide you with these items, and
they are designed to be easily user serviceable. For more complex repairs, we ask that you
send items to the manufacturer using the customer service numbers below. In the case of a
"dead on arrival (DOA)" situation, we ask that you first contact us for
technical support, and if it is not resolvable that way, we can issue a replacement unit
from stock.
